Vault Card FAQ

The Vault Card is designed to help beneficiaries access assistance at participating vendors across Australia.
How does the Vault Card work?

The Vault Card changes the way beneficiaries access benefits by making it easier and quicker to access assistance.

If you have a Vault Digital Card, you can view your card balance and transaction history in the Vault Payments app.
If you have a Vault Physical Card, you can view your card balance and transaction history by visiting the online balance checker: https://vaultactivation.com.au/#/balance

The Vault Card can’t be used to withdraw cash.

Your funds will remain on your Vault Card.

If your Physical Vault Card is lost or stolen, please contact: info@vaultps.com.au

Like all payment cards, prepaid cards should be safeguarded and treated like cash. However, our cards are more secure than cash. If your card is lost or stolen, you can report its loss so it can be disabled and replaced, unlike many store cards.

  • Check that your card has been activated.
  • Check your balance.
  • The merchant is an unapproved supplier. Your Vault Card can’t be used to purchase gambling, tobacco, or alcohol.
  • Check to see if your card has expired.
  • You may have tried to enter a PIN instead of signing the merchant’s docket.
  • If your card has a CHIP, check that you have entered your PIN correctly.
  • Your card may have been reported lost or stolen.
  • Your card has been suspended, please contact the Trustee (Four Post Pty Ltd) on 08 6163 0246
  • A previous voided or interrupted transaction may have been authorised and the reserved funds have not yet been released.
  • Check that the signature on the back panel of the card has been signed.
  • Check to make sure your signature on the purchase receipt matches the signature on the back of the card.
  • The merchant does not accept Mastercard prepaid cards electronically.
  • The merchant does not accept virtual cards.

For petrol station purchases it is better to pay at the counter after filling your tank, rather than using your Vault Card at the pump itself before filling up.

This occurs because even if you need only a few litres of petrol, an authorisation for $49 will be sought, and that $49 will be reserved until the actual value of fuel purchased is posted to the account – sometimes a day or two later.

Checking your card balance or transactions or for any other purpose via the website is free of charge. Phone calls to report a lost or stolen card are also free.

The Vault Cards must be activated within 12 months, and the card will expire 36 months after activation.

If your card has expired please reach out to contact the Trustee (Four Post Pty Ltd) on 08 6163 0246 and we will organise another card for you.

Four Post Pty Ltd adheres to the Australian Privacy Principles. We will not disclose your personal details to anyone except for the purpose of operating the Vault Card programs, or as required by law. All data transmitted through the internet is encrypted.
